The Public Security Police (PSP) announced this Friday the arrest of two men at a crime scene in Corroyos, Setubal district, for drug trafficking, as well as the seizure of 62,030 doses of hashish and 963 doses of cocaine.
In a statement, the PSP explained that the arrest of the two men, aged 34 and 45, by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Seixal Police Station was the result of a series of steps and proceedings taken over the past year.
The detainees were present at the Lisbon District Court – Nucleo do Seixal for their first judicial interrogation, with one of the detainees placed under preventive detention and the other required to present himself to the authorities on a weekly basis as a coercive measure.
As part of the investigation, two searches of the home and one search outside the home were conducted, with the PSP seizing 31.015 kilograms of hashish, equivalent to 62,030 individual doses, and 192.68 grams of cocaine, equivalent to 963 individual doses.
The PSP also seized 1,775 euros in cash, 38 9mm rounds of ammunition, three 32mm rounds of ammunition, one 7.65mm round of ammunition, two mobile phones and items related to the packaging and packing of the drug in individual doses.
