In other words, out of every 100 young people who complete their training, at least 99 find a job immediately after receiving their diploma. Data from the Infocourses 2024 portal regarding graduates of the 2020/21 academic year show that the share of recent graduates enrolled in the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training was 0% in 45 courses (12 private), namely in the fields of Health, Computer Technology and Other Technology. In the opposite field, there are 21 courses (eight private), where the unemployment rate exceeds 10%. This list includes some courses in tourism, communication sciences, as well as philosophy, marketing, biology and biotechnology.

There are 4,036 vacancies in courses with an excellence index greater than or equal to 100 (courses for which demand exceeds the total number of vacancies opened by candidates with grades equal to or higher than 17) in the training offer for the next academic year, an increase of 46 compared to last year. There are 9,355 vacancies in digital skills courses, an increase of 252 compared to 2023. In some courses, the number of foreigners enrolled exceeds the number of Portuguese students. Gestao of the Nova Lisboa University is one such case: in 2022/2023, there were 876 foreigners and 473 Portuguese. The course with the most foreigners is a private one: the Dental Medicine course at the Fernando Pessoa University had 1,027 foreigners, with a total of 1,451 enrolled.
