At the time of the unrest, about 30 people gathered in Matosinhos to pay tribute to Daniela Padrino, the woman who was killed by her ex-boyfriend João Oliveira on June 6.
“She was an amazing person who helped everyone. What happened is unfortunate,” he says. CM Sandra Andrade, Daniela’s friend, explains that the victim was “happy because she was getting married.”
“He [João] He found out the wedding dress was ready and started sending messages saying he was going to kill her,” he says. Daniela filed seven domestic violence complaints against the suspect, the last of which was on May 24.
“We want to express our sadness, disappointment and outrage at the failures of the system that allow this to happen,” said Fran Seftel, who organized the tribute.
