On Monday, Portuguese figure skater Gustavo Ribeiro failed to reach the street race final at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris after finishing outside the top eight in the qualifying round.
Eighth in the Olympic debut of skateboarding in Tokyo 2020, the Portuguese scored 142.14 points, the result of the sum of the best run (48.31), in which he fell, and the only “trick” he managed to perform (93.83), not enough to be one of the eight skaters to advance to the final, which will take place from 17:00 local time (16:00 Lisbon) in Praça da Concórdia.
Having graduated on his Olympic debut, 23-year-old Ribeiro missed the final because his streak outside the top eight ended with the match not yet played.
