The agreement between the ELA union representatives and the management company has put an end to 72 days of strike during which users have not been able to enjoy bathing in these facilities.
Bilbao Kirolak will finally open the outdoor pools of Artxanda, Errekalde and Txurdinaga starting this coming Monday, August 5, as reported on social media.
The municipal sports institute began filling the outdoor swimming pools of the sports centres in the capital of Biscay on Thursday after an agreement was reached between the ELA representation in the maintenance service of Bilbao Kirolak and the management company UTE Giroa Ansareo. The agreement has put an end to 72 days of strike, during which users have not been able to enjoy swimming in these facilities and have had to endure closed bathrooms and toilets, as well as a lack of hot water in the showers.
The service will resume its usual schedule: from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the month of August and from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from September 1.
