Three judges of the Supreme Military Court (TMS), detained twelve days ago by the armed forces, were released on Monday, the Guinean League for Human Rights reported.

In a statement, the league announced that three TMS referee consultants “were released today.” [esta segunda-feira] without any legal proceedings.”

“The Guinean League for Human Rights considers this act to be another defeat for authoritarianism and dictatorship,” the organization said.

The league claims that the three judges were “kidnapped” by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Biage Na Nthan.

“[A] The League demands that General Biage Na Ntana provide the country with a full explanation of the circumstances of the illegal and arbitrary detention of these advisory judges for 12 days,” the organization emphasized.
