The woman was displaced this Thursday and was greeted by family members after a fire at her home in Loriga, in the municipality of Seia, Guarda district, according to a civil protection source.
According to the Sub-Regional Command for Emergency Management and Civil Protection of Beiras and Serra da Estrela in Guarda, at 2:45 a.m., the Loriga fire department received a city fire alarm.
“The house was completely destroyed. When firefighters arrived, it was completely engulfed in flames,” he said.
The same source told Lusa that due to the fire, the woman who lived in the house, who was unharmed, “was relocated to the family home.”
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
There were 11 people and four cars of volunteer firefighters from Loriga and GNR.
