Manuel Luz, 68, was stabbed to death in Carnide, Lisbon, and left in a wheelbarrow with a knife stuck in his chest in a wooded area.
The community is shocked by the crime. Manuel is described as “an impeccable and very friendly person, who was a friend of a friend” who lived in Bairro da Horta Nova, on Victor Santos Street, ten years ago. It is known that he was battling cancer and grieving the loss of his daughter.
The elderly man was the director of the sports club Juventude da Horta Nova.
The victim had eight stab wounds to the chest, where the knife was still sticking out, and one to the face. The alarm was raised at around 6.30pm on Sunday.
The suspect in the crime will be a homeless person known to the victim, her friends and relatives. The offender spends the night near the place where the body is found and disappears.
For what? CM As it turned out, it was the victim’s friends, who had arranged to meet him that night, who found the body in the garden of Quinta dos Condes de Carnides. The corpse was placed in a yellow bag and then left on a cart.
The victim’s son was informed that his father had been attacked and when he arrived at the scene he found members of the PSP and PJ already present.
The authorities have launched an investigation.
