According to a bulletin from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) published this Wednesday, the lower supply on the free electricity market allows families to save 5.58 euros per month on their electricity bills compared to the regulated market in the third quarter of the year – fair.
The data shows that a couple with two children will have an annual saving of 67 euros on top of the regulated tariff with a price determined annually by ERSE, while a family without children will save 30 euros per year, i.e. 2.50 euros per month.
An analysis of electricity supplies shows that there are four companies that offer lower prices for couples without children compared to the regulated tariff, with Goldenergy having the lowest price (34.98 euros per month).
For couples with two children, there are seven more distributors available, with Goldenergy again offering the lowest price (€90.08 per month) compared to the pre-set tariff.
In the case of natural gas, the regulated market prevails. The bill for a couple without children is 14.78 euros per month, and for a couple with two children it is 28.08 euros per month.
On the free market, GALP is the most affordable gas distributor, despite the fact that its price for families with children is 5.17 euros per month higher than on the regulated market, which amounts to a monthly bill of 33.25 euros.
As for double billing, where gas and electricity are combined into one monthly payment, the lowest price on the regulated market is €52.27 for couples and €123.74 for families with children.
