According to the latest monitoring report, as of Wednesday, direct and final beneficiaries of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) had received more than €5 billion.
In total, payments now amount to €5,081 million, up €112 million from the previous week.
This cost corresponds to 23% of the allocated and contracted cost and 26% of the approved amount.
The largest amounts were received by companies (EUR 1.888 million) and public institutions (EUR 1.245 million).
This is followed by public companies (€527 million), local authorities and metropolitan areas (€509 million), schools (€275 million), higher education institutions (€223 million), families (€173 million), solidarity institutions and the social economy (€127 million) and institutions of the scientific and technical system (€114 million).
In turn, the approved projects reached 19.229 million euros, which is equivalent to 87% of the allocated and programmed value.
The leaders in terms of the number of permits are companies (5.763 million euros), followed by public institutions (5.115 million euros).
Also noteworthy are local authorities and metropolitan areas (EUR 3,047 million) and state-owned companies (EUR 2,849 million).
This is followed by higher education institutions (€777 million), schools (€619 million), solidarity and social economy institutions (€452 million), scientific and technical system institutions (€391 million) and families (€217 million).
As of Wednesday, 345,725 claims had been filed with the PRR, up 1,338 from last week.
A total of 231,593 applications were still processed, up 3,248 from the previous week, and 186,114 were approved, up 3,034.
Brussels transferred a total of 8.493 million euros to Portugal.
Following the reprogramming of the PRR approved in September 2023, the plan’s allocations amounted to €22.216 million.
The PRR, which runs until 2026, aims to implement a range of reforms and investments to restore economic growth.
The plan aims not only to repair the damage caused by Covid-19, but also to support investment and job creation.
