A 62-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking in Penedono, the GNR said in a statement today, which also confiscated nearly 300 cannabis plants.
According to a document from the Viseu PNP Territorial Command, the Criminal Investigation Center (NIC) of Moimenta da Beira, with the support of the Penedono territorial post, arrested the suspect on Tuesday, after about a month of investigation.
GNR troopers executed two search warrants, “one at a home and one at a vehicle, culminating in the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of narcotics.”
The seized material included 288 cannabis plants, 117 grams of cannabis juice and 1.4 grams of cannabis seeds.
According to the GNR, the detainee was declared an accused and the facts were reported to the Moimenta da Beira Court, also in the Viseu district.
