The increase in the tax burden on taxpayers in Portugal has led to the tax-free day being set for June 13, later than 2023. Thus, the Portuguese work for almost half a year just to pay taxes, according to data News magazine.
Tax Free Day is “the day before which we work only to pay taxes, and after that all income is profit,” the newspaper writes.
