According to the SP statement, the suspects approached the victim on a public street in Lisbon. The detainees said they had discovered a serious problem and offered to say “prayers” and “blessings” to help “defeat it.”
Taking into account the emotional fragility of the victim, the suspects offered to give her money and gold coins with the promise of returning them at the end. However, they used the excuse that the victim could not share the information with other people, since in this case the “treatment” would not work.
The goods were handed over at meetings organised by the two women near churches and on public roads in Lisbon.
