The seizure of counterfeit gambling-related materials took place last week following an investigation by the GNR Gafanha da Nazaré. The verification operation took place on Barra Beach in Ilhavo. Three men aged between 50 and 58 were identified and the facts were referred to the Ilhavo Court.
The aim of the inspection is to combat counterfeit goods, illegal use of trademarks, the sale of counterfeit goods and gambling. The authorities also seized 16 counterfeit goods worth around 500 euros, as well as gambling-related materials.
During the campaign, a warning was issued about an administrative offence for selling items without a corresponding indication in Portuguese.
