FC Porto confirm signing of Francisco Moura: check deal value

This Monday, Porto announced the signing of Francisco Moura at the Porto stadium. Transfer market closing day. The defender has signed a contract until 2029 and has a release clause of €60 million.

“FC Porto acquires 100% of the economic rights of the athlete for a total of 5 million euros, while Famalicao retains an amount corresponding to 10% of the potential future transfer of the player. Famalicao assumes responsibility for the solidarity mechanism in relation to third parties and FC Porto declares that it will not bear any fees for intermediary services,” can be read on the Dragons’ website.

The 25-year-old left-back has scored four goals and made 10 assists in 77 games for Famaliciens, which he signed on loan from Braga in the 2022/23 season, convincing SAD, chaired by Miguel Ribeiro, to sign him permanently for one million euros next season. Francisco Moura was one of Famalicao’s totalists for the 2024/25 I Liga season and said goodbye on Sunday after the 2-1 win over Vitoria de Guimarães in the fourth round.

“This is the toughest challenge I’ve ever had to face. I’m fully aware of that, but I feel like I’m ready for the last few seasons where I’ve played at a good level, especially the last one. I’m really good. [A mudança para o FC Porto] “It was something I really wanted and had been meaning to do for a few weeks. I am very happy and can’t wait to get out on the pitch on game day,” he told the Dragons’ official media.

“We wanted to strengthen this position and he brings with him experience, knowledge of the league and the game, a good defensive structure and attacking ability. We believe he is an athlete who will give us many options on the left flank,” said FC Porto sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta.

The Dragons have already welcomed Argentine centre-back Neuen Perez and midfielder Fabio Vieira, on loan from Italian club Udinese and English runners-up Arsenal respectively, as well as forwards Samu Omorodion from Spanish side Atletico de Madrid and Denis Gul, who has signed for Swedish club Hammarby.

“He is a player of the future who, despite his experience, still has a long career ahead of him. We think that he will be an important element for the team because he will contribute with the knowledge acquired over time. I wish him luck for everyone that we will be able to see him soon,” concluded Andoni Zubizarreta.
