The reading of the verdict in the case of E-Tupeyra was postponed for the fifth time. A bailiffs’ strike prevented the release of the decision on Monday. A new date has not been set.
The decision of the panel of judges of the trial, in which former Benfica legal adviser Paulo Gonçalves and court officials José Augusto Silva and Julio Loureiro appear as defendants, was scheduled for 14:00 this Monday, but the absence of representatives of the court dictated a new postponement of the reading of the verdict after it was postponed for the same reason on 25 January.
Leaving the court, Paulo Gonçalves said he was convinced of the acquittal. Julio Loureiro pleaded not guilty.
The promulgation of the court decision in the E-mol case has already been postponed several times, since the reading of the decision was previously scheduled for November 4, 2022 and has been successively postponed to January 9, 23 and 25 and, most recently, to this Monday, February 20.
