The deputies approved this Wednesday in the Economy Committee the request of the PS to hear in Parliament the former Minister of Economy António Pires de Lima and the former Secretary of State Sergio Monteiro on the privatization of TAP in 2015.
The PS’s request was unanimously approved by the Economy, Public Works, Planning and Housing Commission, with the intention of first hearing Sergio Monteiro and then António Pires de Lima.
The Socialists announced on February 16 that they want to invite the former Minister of Economy and the former Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications to provide clarification in Parliament on the TAP privatization process in 2015, arguing that “the use of TAP money and TAP contracts to finance the entry of a private operator to the national airline.
