The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) announced this Wednesday that it is investigating the death of eight people from the municipality of Kakuako, Luanda province, who were previously reported missing by their relatives.
The SIC reported that on February 15, relatives learned of the disappearance of eight young people living in a hostel with other young people in Kakuako.
According to the Investigative Committee, given the seriousness of the situation, “a set of investigative actions, expressed in the initiation of competent proceedings, as well as a prompt judicial inspection of the place indicated by family members as the place where the crime was committed,” served. young people were celebrating Valentine’s Day, at that time they were taken out of there.
According to preliminary information from witnesses who were at the scene, the IC reports in its note, it is said that the victims were taken away by four people, whose identity has not yet been established, who were already at the scene before the appearance of eight young people, “armed with pistols and under threat of death, then destroying the hotel’s video surveillance system.
According to the facts, two days after the disappearance, the bodies of young people previously considered missing were found in the mortuary of Josina Machel Hospital and identified by their relatives.
“Given that the facts presented here indicate a high complexity and concern for public safety, the SIC, in agreement with the PNA [Polícia Nacional de Angola]continue to conduct due diligence aimed at identifying and locating the perpetrators of this crime for subsequent criminal liability,” the note emphasizes.
