Brazilian President Lula da Silva will address the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic in celebration on April 25, the Portuguese Foreign Minister in Brasilia announced this Thursday.
“This is the first time a foreign head of state has given a speech on this day,” João Gomes Cravinho said at a press conference in Brasilia, at the Itamaraty Palace, along with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.
The Portuguese foreign minister is in Brasilia this Thursday in preparation for the Portuguese-Brazilian summit, which will be held in Portugal from 22 to 25 April, when Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will visit the country.
