As found out cm, participation is “pro bono” and therefore “without the right to any remuneration”. When selecting volunteers, preference is given to residents of the Lisbon agglomeration, who therefore do not need housing, or residents of other parts of the country, who can stay with family or friends.
In terms of food and transportation, “they are expected to be able to take advantage of the support provided to volunteers in general at a lower cost,” read the GNR information note.
