A mother who kidnapped her daughter five years ago ran away with her younger daughter, who was taken from her for abuse, after asking to use the bathroom.
During a supervised visit to the mall, Esmeralda López, Aranza’s mother, asked to go to the toilet and ran away with an 8-year-old girl.
The child was taken away from the mother due to complaints of aggression – when she had large spots on her body. She has been in foster care since 2017 and her mother can visit her twice a week.
“For more than four years, we have not stopped searching for Aranza,” the FBI source admitted. US authorities offered $10,000 in exchange for information about the missing woman.
