Two girls, aged 12 and 13, are suspected of killing 12-year-old Louise, whose body was found in the woods on Sunday. near the city of Freudenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia, in Germany.
A police investigation found that Louise was stabbed to death, German prosecutor Mario Mannweiler, quoted by Reuters, said, adding that no weapons had yet been found. “We believe this crime was committed by two children,” Mannweiler said. Because they are 12 and 13 years old, young women are not subject to the criminal law, which in Germany only applies to minors from the age of 14. The case is in the hands of the youth management.
There is no evidence that anyone else was involved or that sexual abuse took place, Mannweiler added, declining to elaborate. Local media and prosecutors report that all children are female.
