On Tuesday, a man was found dead after falling 20 meters off a cliff in the Cruz dos Remedios area, near Cabo Carvoeiro, in Peniche.
The alarm was raised at 5:40 pm by a person passing by on the road who noticed the body, which was removed from the scene by volunteer fire brigades and the Peniche Marine Police.
As found out cm, aged between 55 and 60, lives in the municipality of Peniche. Death was pronounced on the spot, the body was taken out for an autopsy, no traces of the crime were found.
While the causes and circumstances of death are unknown, everything points to a fall.
The area has a footpath often used by people who know the area, located opposite the Escola Superior de Tecnologia do Mar.
The Peniche Maritime Police have investigated the incident and are investigating what happened.
A city council team was mobilized for psychological support of the family.
