The Mozambican government has decided to grant visa exemptions to Portugal and 27 other countries at low risk of illegal immigration as part of its economic stimulus measures, a source at the Economy and Finance Ministry told Lusa today.
The exemption is valid for 30 days on the territory of the country, in accordance with the measure adopted at the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday.
To take advantage of the new regime, applicants must apply for an entry permit by completing an online form.
In addition to Portugal, the approved list includes the following countries: Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Côte d’Ivoire, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal . , Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States of America.
The aforementioned decree must still be published in Boletim da República in order to come into force.
