Volkswagen Navarra has announced that will suspend production on Monday of next week, a closure motivated again by the instability in the supply of semiconductors, taking this day into consideration of ERTE.
As reported to the staff through a statement by the company “there will be no production next Monday the 20th due to instability in the supply of semiconductors” having this day considered ERTE except for those who are notified by their headquarters to carry out training or other tasks.
UGT, the union with majority representation within the works council, has indicated that in the meeting held this morning with the Union Monitoring Commission, they have also been informed of the possibility that more closing days can be added due to the uncertainty in the supply of airbag control units.
As indicated by the UGT “today they are only available for two days” and “if they do not have enough to fill the four days of next week, production would stop at the end of the week”, an issue that “is communicated to as soon as possible.”
