Delta founder Rui Nabeiro dies

Businessman Rui Nabeiro, founder of Delta Cafés, passed away this Sunday at the age of 91.

The businessman was admitted to da Luz hospital due to breathing problems, the family said in a statement.

The date and program of the funeral ceremonies are still unknown.

“The entire Delta family is deeply saddened by this loss and extends its sincere condolences to all those who also lost a great friend today,” the family said in a statement.

“We are all committed to continuing his legacy and honoring his vision by continuing to produce the best coffee in the world, supporting local communities and promoting sustainable development,” he adds.

Manuel Rui Azinhais Nabeiro was born on March 28, 1931 in Campo Mayor, Portalegre district.
