This Tuesday, the Portuguese football team will have a second training session in preparation for their debut in Group J of the Euro 2024 qualifying stage against Liechtenstein, where Roberto Martínez will once again call up 25 players.
On Monday, the athletes, called by the Spanish coach, were doing recovery work on exercise bikes and on mattresses laid out on the lawn, and they must perform exercises with and without the ball during the first 15 minutes open to the media.
The match is scheduled for 17:30 at the main field of Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras and will be preceded by a press conference with a nominated player at 16:45.
Portugal will make their debut in Group J of UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers on Thursday against Liechtenstein at 19:45 at the José Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon, in a match hosted by Norway’s Espen Escas.
Three days later, on Sunday, the quinas team travels to the Estádio do Luxemburgo to meet the local team, also from 19:45 (Lisbon time).
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia and Iceland are the other teams that make up the Euro 2024 qualifying ‘Group J’, with Portugal needing to finish in one of the top two places to have direct access to the final phase of the competition scheduled for Germany (14 June to July 14, 2024).
