This Saturday, the GNR announced that 579 people were arrested across the country last week, most of them for drunk driving (247 people) or without a driver’s license (162 people), and 54 people for drug trafficking.
The Guard stressed that these arrests at the scene of the crime were the result of operations carried out on the territory of the country between March 17 and 23, in addition to the daily operational activities of the military.
Among the rest of the arrests stand out 14 for theft and robbery, 19 for illegal possession of weapons and prohibited weapons, five for domestic violence and two for wildfire.
9,467 traffic violations were registered, including 1,856 cases of speeding, 836 cases of failure to carry out a mandatory technical inspection, 444 cases of missing or incorrect use of seat belts and / or child restraint systems, and 393 cases of driving in violation of traffic rules. Your blood alcohol level is above the legal limit.
There were also 390 lighting and signaling offenses and 309 tachograph offenses, 292 drivers were uninsured and 281 abused mobile phones while driving.
The military seized 22 cars, 10,183 euros in cash, 21 firearms, 40 cold or illegal weapons and 3,275 ammunition of various calibers.
Also seized were 4,000 doses of hashish, 314.7 doses of heroin, 471 doses of cocaine, 148 doses of marijuana, 15 brands of LSD, 50 amphetamine tablets and 23 MDMA tablets.
