The basket of essentials that the government wants to impose 0% VAT on should include 30 to 40 essentials, reports TSF. The list should include the essentials for a healthy diet and some of the products most sought after by consumers, such as milk.
A TSF it is also reported that negotiations to reach an agreement with the manufacturing sector are taking place this weekend, and a compromise is expected to be reached at the beginning of the week.
Fernando Medina clarified that he had expressed concerns about the unilateral cut, as the results could not affect families, as happened in Spain. “The measure does not work unilaterally, but if there is an agreement, the measure will work,” he stressed.
