The 19-year-old was arrested outside a school in Mirandela, in the Braganca district, with five knives and brass knuckles, PSP reported on Tuesday.
According to information released by the PSP Braganza District Command, the detainee was “already known to have committed various criminal offenses” and “was quite nervous when agents approached him on Monday.
The PSP explains that “the police saw the suspect near the high school in Mirandela, he was very nervous and tried to leave the place.”
According to the source, “He was immediately stopped by his behavior and asked if he had anything illegal, to which he immediately replied in the affirmative, handing over the knife he had in his hand.”
The suspect was frisked by agents who found him in possession of “four more bladed weapons and brass knuckles” as he was arrested for the offense of possession of a prohibited weapon.
All weapons were confiscated, and the young man was detained for submission to the judicial authorities for enforcement measures.
