The phenomenon occurred “only in Alcantara” and then “dimmed somewhat,” Patricia Marquez said, adding that IPMA was unaware of further damage.
Speaking to the Lusa agency, the director of Lisbon’s municipal civil protection service said that in the parish of Alcántara, the second worst-hit by the weather, checked on Tuesday, part of the roof of the food bank against hunger on Ceuta Avenue.
“Part of the report ended up on a railway line,” added Margarida Castro Martins.
