The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, this Wednesday again spoke about the attack on the Ismaili Center in Lisbon, which killed Mariana and Farana, aged 24 and 49 respectively.
Marcelo praised the “maturity” with which the Portuguese responded to the situation. “I think that the Portuguese society as a whole has reacted very well. It reacted sensibly,” said Marcelo.
When asked about the surveillance of Afghan Abdul Bashir, Marcelo Rebelo de Souza said he couldn’t have been “more attentive”, saying there is concern from the community.
Recall that on Tuesday, an Afghan man stabbed two women and seriously injured a teacher at the Ismaelita Center in Lisbon.
The head of state was also interrogated about the damage found on the Mondego motor ship. The President of the Republic claims that “investigations and diligence continue to find out what happened.”
