Lusa’s journalists deliver a letter explaining the strike to the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister.

This Friday morning, a group of journalists from Agência Lusa delivered to Aveiro an open letter to the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebel de Sousa and Prime Minister António Costa, outlining the reasons for the four-day strike. carried out by professionals of the news agency.

“The workers of Agência Lusa come to write to you in the midst of a four-day strike, which they were forced to resort to due to the inaction of the company’s management, whose counter offer of 74 euros, taking into account the demand for a raise of 120 euros, is not enough,” the document reads. The initiative took place during the presentation of the national network of “Test Stands” which takes place at the University of Aveiro.
