Former US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump took to Instagram to respond to an arrest that will be targeted by her father on Tuesday. “I love my father and my country. Today they both hurt me. I appreciate the voices of all representatives of the political spectrum who express support and care,” Ivanka wrote.
Donald Trump has been charged in a 2006 trial in which he is accused of paying porn actress Stormy Daniels to keep their alleged sexual relationship secret.
This is the first time that a former US president has been criminally charged. Donald Trump will have to go through normal arrest procedures in New York State. Fingerprints will be taken, you will be photographed (famous prisoner photo), but you will not be handcuffed.
The fact that Trump is not in handcuffs comes from an agreement between his lawyers and the Manhattan prosecutor’s office.
