The arrested man and woman are suspected of robbing a jewelry store in Matosinhos on Saturday.

A couple suspected of robbing a jewelry store in Matosinhos this Saturday with firearms and stealing items “worth several thousand euros” have been arrested, the Judicial Police (PJ) said today.

The SP statement said that two suspects, aged 30 and 38, entered the establishment in Matosinhos, Porto district, at 4:00 pm on Saturday and, “using the threat of a firearm, forced the owner to open the safe. where they deducted a few pieces in gold and silver.”

According to Judiciária, immediately afterwards, a man and a woman “approached the shop window, grabbing several thousand euros worth of items on display.”

Detainees with convictions for theft, breach of physical integrity and drug trafficking will be brought before the competent judicial authority for enforcement action.
