Police and civil protection authorities told Lusa that a 72-year-old woman who went missing on Thursday morning was found dead in a well in Anciau.
A GNR source told Lusa that the victim was supposed to be away from his home at least this morning in Anciao, Leiria district.
The husband signaled authorities around lunchtime, the same source added.
Authorities, firefighters and the public helped search for the woman, who was found at 4:05 pm.
A source from the Leiria Subregional Emergency and Civil Protection Authority also told Lusa that 11 operators and five vehicles of Ansião, INEM and GNR volunteer firefighters were on site.
