Joao Silva says he kicked and hit Francisco
One of the defendants, Joao Silva, confessed to kicking Francisco and hitting his knee while apologizing to family and friends and expressing regret.
The young man said that he went with his friend Diogo in search of Francisco after he squeezed his neck.
They saw Francisco leaning against a car with a group of young people, and then Diogo punched him in the face.
Francisco ran away and began to run. Carlos Varandas kicked him and Francisco fell to the ground.
João stated that other young people started kicking and beating him, but he did not know who they were.
Carlos and Diogo also punched and kicked the 17-year-old.
“I don’t remember seeing Diogo with a knife,” says Joao. “I always take a razor because of the drugs that take it off,” he adds.
After the impact, Francisco got up and ran forward towards the train, and then a shot rang out, and Francisco fell to the ground.
“I didn’t know Francisco, it was in the heat of the moment, I drank too many glasses,” he said.
The young man told a controversial version of Diogo Tavares.

Up ahead, looking for his friends, Diogo saw a mess with a large group that included Francisco and a few friends. The group surrounded Francisco and pulled him or tried to drag him into the car.
Diogo punched Francisco in the face, but meanwhile the group separated them and Francisco ran back to the side of the road.
Carlos Varandas, Joao and Diogo went after Francisco and Carlos ended up tripping him.
Carlos, Joao and Samir kicked and beat Francisco as he lay on the ground. “Then I stabbed him in the right knee because I was offended by what happened,” Diogo said.
Meanwhile, a shot rang out, and the youths ran.
Diogo Tavares claims that to this day he does not know who stabbed Francisco in the chest.
