Italian volleyball player Giulia Ituma died Thursday at the age of 18 after falling out of a sixth-floor window at the Burhan Felek Sports Hall in Istanbul.
According to TV channel Sports Mediaset, Volleyball player Igor Novara lived with the team in a hotel and was found dead at about 5:30 am.
The incident occurred after the second leg of the Women’s Volleyball Champions League semi-final, where the young woman’s team met with the Turkish team. Exakibashi.
Turkish police are investigating the incident using CCTV footage. The player was in the corridors of the hotel from 22:30 to 23:30 before returning to his room.
Giulia Ituma was born in Milan to a Nigerian family. She was considered one of the most promising talents in Italian volleyball.
