According to News, the reason why Pedro Henriquez asked for a suspension was pressure and stress. The request was delivered on the eve of the visit of the Medical Association to the Hospital de Faro.
The surgeon could work outside the operating room.
Diana Carvalho Pereira claims to be aware of “11 cases” this year in which three patients died. The doctor filed a complaint with the judicial police against the surgeon and director of the surgical service of I Hospital de Faro for alleged medical malpractice.
According to Diana Pereira, of the 12 patients, “three died, two were hospitalized for interim care, the rest had malpractice injuries ranging from accidental castration, loss of kidneys, or having to undergo a colostomy for the rest of their lives. “One of the patients spent a week with compresses on his stomach.”
She is currently unable to continue her internship in the Surgical Service because there are no doctors available to refer her.
