A 39-year-old man was arrested for robbing and kidnapping another person in Vila Nova de Gaia.
According to the Judicial Police, the crimes were committed on October 5 last year, when the suspect, along with two other defendants arrested in March last year, approached the victim on the street under the pretext of drug use. The men went together to the Porto area, where they bought drugs.
The defendants then took the victim to the home of one of the suspects to collect all the money he had. The victim was beaten and kept in a room for several hours.
Later, the man was thrown into a field, about five kilometers from the house where he lives. The suspects also visited the victim’s home, where the motorcycle was stolen.
The detainee without professional activity and with a conviction for robbery and theft was brought to the competent judicial authority for the first judicial interrogation and was held in preventive custody.
