Baran da Pastelleira Nova, 36, was arrested this Thursday during a PSP mega operation to combat drug trafficking that took place in Porto. The man had been under investigation by the authorities for several years.
In accordance with Newspaperthe detainee is “the owner of one of the most profitable drug stalls in the area”, which also supplied other vendors in the North.
The man lived in Matosinhos but had several houses in Porto. Barão da Pasteleira Nova used several apartments in the neighborhood to store drugs and even paid some residents to store drugs for him.
The detainee was linked in 2017 with the first Glock 9mm out of 57 disappearing from the National PSP Office.
In addition to the drug baron, 14 other people were arrested and more than 62,000 doses of drugs were seized.
