The Basque economy grew by 0.4% in the first quarter compared to the three previous months

The Basque Institute of Statistics, Eustat, points to a “slight year-on-year slowdown” of the economy of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV), although “the evolution continues to be positive”.

With respect to first quarter of the year 2022For its part, GDP has risen by 2.2%.

He employment, measured as full-time equivalent jobs, has increased by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the previous quarter. In relation to the same quarter of the previous year, a growth of 1.5% is estimated.

Eustat released this Monday the progress of the quarterly accounts for the first quarter of 2023, information that will be expanded on June 2.
