The Boeing 737-800 flew from Columbus, USA, to Phoenix on Sunday morning before a crew member reported the failure around 8:00 am (13:00 GMT), the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
“The flight landed normally,” American Airlines said in a statement. “The aircraft has been taken out of service for maintenance and our team is working to bring customers back to Phoenix,” he added.
