GNR de Medas confiscated two illegal slot machines and charged a 49-year-old woman in Foz do Sousa, Gondomar.
The National Republican Guard said in a statement that as part of its surveillance of food and drink establishments, the military on Saturday discovered and confiscated two machines that were used to operate illegal gambling at the establishment. During the operation, 90 euros in cash were also seized.
The owner of the establishment was prosecuted, and the facts were taken to the court of Gondomar. GNR reminds that “Gambling addiction is recognized as a pathology, and it is necessary to be attentive to the signs that reveal a gambling addiction, as those suffering from this disorder often jeopardize their work, run into large debts. which ultimately makes their interaction with society impossible and leads to self-destructive behavior.”
