Member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) have provided more than 1,500 armored vehicles and 230 tanks to Ukraine since the invasion of Russia began, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this Thursday.
“Allies [da NATO]as well as partners in the Contact Group, led by the United States, sent 230 tanks, 1,550 armored vehicles and a large amount of ammunition to Ukraine,” the Secretary General of the Atlantic Alliance said at a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, at NATO Headquarters in Brussels (Belgium).
These amounts, Stoltenberg continued, “correspond to 98 percent of the equipment promised” to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to re-equip them and help repel the invasion launched on the orders of the Kremlin on February 24, 2022.
