Nine people have died in Russian bombings in Ukraine. Three children are among the victims.

Rocket attacks on several Ukrainian cities early Friday killed at least nine people, according to Reuters. Three children were among the victims.

Four people were killed and eight injured when a rocket hit a residential building in Uman.

In the center of the Dnieper, a rocket hit a house, killing a child and a young woman. Three people were injured in the attack.

Explosions also rocked Kremenchug and Poltava in central Ukraine, Mykolaiv in the south, and Kyiv. Two people were injured in the city of Ukrainka, Kyiv region.

Three more deaths have been recorded, according to Reuters.

The incident comes as Ukraine prepares for a counteroffensive using new military hardware, including tanks, from its Western allies.
