Confebask advocates continuing to invest and bet on FP

The president of the Basque employers’ association has added that “more if possible” is necessary in a situation of “shortage of talent”.

The president of Confebask, Isabel Busto, has advocated continuing to invest and bet on Vocational Training and on youth “who choose to train through it, “more if possible” in a situation of “shortage of talent”.

During the usual Basque Empresa&FP annual event held this Monday at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, Busto highlighted “the effort and commitment of companies, training centers, teachers and students for a strategic model for our competitiveness as companies and as a country”.

In his opinion, the recent approval of the sixth Basque Vocational Training Plan “is a clear example of this collaboration with the same objective: to consolidate a model that is already a benchmark, both in the State and in the European Union itself thanks to collective involvement “.

The president of the Basque employers’ association recalled that “the majority profile of job offers from Basque companies has to do with Vocational Training, both intermediate and advanced”.

“Companies, we must continue to invest in training. We must continue to bet on our Vocational Training and on the youth who choose to train through it. And even more so, given the increasing shortage of talent,” he stressed.
