Seven people were injured in a fire that broke out Tuesday evening on the second floor of a building on Via Vitorino Nemesio in Maia.
There is a child among the victims. Five were taken to the São João hospital in Porto. They were soon released. Two of them received help on the spot.
Of the seven people, six inhaled smoke. Another suffered leg injuries.
The alarm was announced at 23:30. 16 vehicles supported 36 firefighters from Moreira da Maya, Pedrusus, San Mamede de Infesta and the Mayan Red Cross.
During the work, firefighters had to evacuate the building. A PSP patrol also went to the scene. Law enforcement agencies will now investigate the cause of the fire.
