“On Monday I got to the next station. If there are alternative buses, where are they?” he asks. The work has resulted in the reduction of trains to three cars, which ultimately limits capacity and leads to overcrowding of trains during peak hours.
To reduce the strain on the metro, Carris routes 767, 738 and 736 have been reinforced. Lisbon Metro Coordinating Director Ricardo Machado explained cm that “Efforts are made to ensure that the works have the least possible impact on users.”
