The movement of pensioners of the CAV will also leave on the 13th of this month in the capitals, to demand a minimum pension of 1080 euros.
The Euskadi pensioners’ movement has called for demonstrations in the capitals of the BAC on May 13 and for a united march in Vitoria-Gasteiz on May 25, to demand that the Spanish government and political parties minimum pension of 1080 eurosamong other claims.
In a statement, this movement has indicated that the pension reform approved by the Spanish Government does not incorporate the claimed demands for more than five years on the streets.
They reject the increase from 25 to 29 years of the period of years of contributions for calculating the pension and ask that the 15 years prior to 2011.
They denounce that the increase in minimum pensions does not even reach 1080 euros. “We are referring to a pensioner over the age of 65, with a non-dependent spouse, who, according to the government table, would go from 743 euros in 2023 to 873 euros in 2027 after applying 60% of the median income in that year.”
They also claim that collective employment pension plans are listed and taxed as work income and call for effective measures to eradicate the gender gap in salaries and pensions.
